the current colour

The current colour is the colour in the colour-chooser panel. The colour chooser panel shows:
  • A preview of the current colour, with its value in HSV format, in CSS #hex format, and in CSS rgb(r,g,b) format. The opacity of the preview reflects the opacity of the selected colour.
  • A preset palette of popular colours. Use these if you want a colour in a hurry.
  • A colour table, showing red, green, blue and alpha input fields, along with a series of colour sliders. The current value for each channel is marked with an "x"; cells close to the "x" cell are close shades of the current colour.
There are several ways to select the current colour:
  • Click on any of the shaded cells in the colour chooser.
  • Click on any of the colours in the palette of popular colours.
  • Enter a value for each of red, green, blue and alpha in the colour table.
  • Use the sampler tool to pick a colour from the icon you are editing.
The current colour is used by the pen, ellipse, fill and replace tools when drawing. It is also used by the border and shadow actions.
